I probably 24 hour fast every week, mostly every day I absolutely love it , it helps me to detox my body daily. 24 hour fasting is helpful when u had a long week and u want to give you digestive system a mini break!! Let's talk Eat-Stop-Eat!!!!

What is it?

24 hour fasting or Eat-Stop-Eat,is completely fasting for 1 or 2 days a week, involves eating no food for 24 hours at a time. Many people fast from breakfast to breakfast or lunch to lunch. People using this method tend to only consume water,tea,and other calorie-free drinks during the fasting period.

What happens to the Body?

After a 24 hour fast, without exercise, muscle glycogen stores were reduced by about 50% .Once you use up your glucose stores, your body breaks down your fat stores for energy. Note, your body does start to utilize fat before your glucose stores are fully depleted.

What are the Health Benefits?

24 hour intermittent fasting can have a positive effect on your metabolism, boost cardiovascular health, promotes blood sugar control, aids in fighting inflammation. May enhance heart health by blood pressure, and boost brain function and prevent neuro-degenerative disorders.
