Alternate Day Fasting

I have tried this method a few times, and I like it it's like dry fasting a few days out of the week. I have seen my energy levels rise and I have more clarity,that I normally wouldn't have.! Let's talk alternate day fasting...

What is it?

Alternate day fasting consists of avoiding any solids or liquid foods or any caloric drinks every other day.It amounts to 36 hours of fasting and 12 hours of eating.

How to Alternate Day Fast?

Alternate day fasting a form of intermittent fasting ,involves fasting one day,eating the next, and repeating... For example, if you've calculated that 1,800 calories a day is the amount you need to eat in order to lose weight, on a fasting day you'd eat no more than 450 calories.

What happens to your body?

The liver and muscles store the glucose and release it into the bloodstream whenever the body needs it.However, during fasting,this process changes fasting mode then becomes the more serious starvation mode. At this point, a person's metabolism slows down and the body begins burning muscle tissue for energy.

What are the Health Benefits?

Alternate day fasting improves cardiovascular markers,reduces blood pressure and heart rate,after four weeks this process is called Cell Metabolism. People who followed this plan for six months also had lower levels of LDL "bad" cholesterol and triglycerides compared to those who ate normally.With alternate day fasting, people typically lose 3 to 8 percent of their body weight over three to 12 months.
